Formed in 1991, Hiretest Limited is a private, family owned company based in Watford and operating within a 45 mile radius of London. Hiretest Limited is a well established specialist Groundworks and RC Frame Contractor with a proven track record within the industry for giving a high quality, value for money service in a no nonsense and non adversarial manner.Works are carried out in compliance with current regulations, and their “Safety Management System” incorporates their policies with regard to Health and Safety, Quality Management, Risk Management and Management of Environmental Issues. Quality is important to their business because they value their clients and define quality as meeting customer requirements with products and services which reach or exceed their expectations.

The Challenge

Hiretest required a collaborative workflow document management service that would enable their field staff to be able to work in a quick, efficient and paperless manner as well as being able to upload project work drawings straight into their management systems. The challenge they faced was that secure drawings for projects and sensitive information was on paper and the time it would take to input the information was far too time-consuming.

The Solution

Advanced UK delivered an assessment of the challenge and upon approval implemented the electronic document management as part of their document management and workflow automation process.The solution not only gave the company a secure method of working in a collaborative manner but it also centralised record keeping that has enabled the users to reduce the amount of mobile data they were using due to compressing the file before being sent back to head office. Saving costs on mobile data spend, this has now reduced significantly. The solution has further given the field staff access to documents that would have only been available for office-based staff, thanks to the cloud-based service.

The Results

Since using the solution, which is being used as an archive database for processed documents as well as working more collaboratively, Hiretest have been delighted in the time and cost savings the Document Management service has supported their business.
